Since I was a small child playing in my Granny’s cedar chest, I have loved all things vintage! I’ve collected dinnerware, glassware, vases, lady’s gloves and hats, and so much more! About 10 years ago, as I was looking for an outlet for my career stress, I opened my first tiny little space at The Treasure House in Burlington. The space grew over time into a very nice booth. I also had a spot in Do Overs, a small shop in Mebane, until it too closed.
With the closure of The Treasure House, I moved to a small spot in Consignment Connection, and finally ended up at Melville, all the while dragging my much-loved vintage items with me. My booth, as its name indicates, is mostly made up of vintage items, but there are also new bits and pieces also. I hope to encourage folks to think about buying and using vintage items. It is the ultimate recycle, after all. Most of the goods are of a better quality than what we buy now. Rather than see them in a landfill, I say take them out and use them! Add to their story!
