Hi, I’m Joyce and I am the creator of Blackbird Alley, Booth 11. Originally from California, I’ve been in my 1890’s farmhouse here for the past 20 years.
I feel I have always been a collector of things that give me pleasure and love sharing my finds, whether it be with other family members, friends or in my booth. Creating an ambiance that makes you feel warm and cozy when you enter your home has always been my motivation. There is something to be said for your family pictures on the wall in well worn frames, lots of books on the shelf, vintage cups and saucers, beautiful pottery, original art, vintage cameras or that gorgeous 1920 buffet in your dining room. You can always purchase something new, but it is a little harder to find that one treasure that has been around for years and just needs a little dusting off. I feel that if you visit my booth you will find just that, a one of a kind treasure just waiting to be taken home and put to use once more. I hope that you will visit my booth and find something special to enhance your own amazing space. As Mary Randolph Carter says, “Never stop to think…do I have a place for this?” Make room for all the stuff that makes your home warm, happy, fun and one-of-a-kind!
